A Luo Tribe family's home on the shore of Lake Victoria in Kenya. This panorama was produced for Thirteen/WNET's Nature CD-ROM project. The CD-ROM crew, which included Gabe as photographer and Howard as Art Director, visited this remote island in Lake Victoria late one afternoon after an hour long ride from Rusinga Island aboard two small boats. Our arrival on the island was a great curiosity for the kids of the island. The island was home to a few hundred people of the Luo Tribe whose livelyhood consisted of fishing from the lake. This family invited us into their home for a unique portrait of their way of life.
