Greenland






Aboard a fishing boat near the Town of Ilulissat in Greenland, photographer Jose Azel shoots an Inuit Kayker for a National Geographic story on the origins of Olympic Sports. Jose's photo can be scene in the July 1996 issue of National Geographic. Ilulissat is located on the western coast of Greenland near the mouth of the ice-fiord of the Ilulissat glacier, the most productive glacier in the Northern Hemisphere.
